Engine and Utility responded with 13 assisting St.59 with a residential structure

Fire.  Fire out upon arrival, Engine staged at hydrant, SCBA personal assisted with overhaul.

2.January313:32400B Double Dam Rd.-Susquehanna Twp.

Rescue/Engine and Utility with 10 responded to a vehicle accident with injuries.  On scene one

Vehicle into a tree. Set up traffic control, provided patient care until the arrival of EMS.

3.January513:04413 Juniper St.-Northern Cambria

Rescue/Engine, Engine and Utility responded with 16 personal on scene to an extinguished stove fire.

Rescue/Engine took the address, Engine staged at the hydrant. Personal checked

for extension with none found.

4.January719:42306 Juniper St.-Northern Cambria

50 chief received a call for wires down in yard of a residence.  On scene was found to be

a guide wire. Penelec notified.

Engine due assisting St.58 with a commercial heat detector alarm. Engine and Utility

responded with 13 and cancelled enroute.

6.January1006:37822 22nd St.-Northern Cambria

Engine due assisting St.58 with a commercial heat detector alarm. Engine

responded with 7 and cancelled enroute.

7.January1013:54200 Coleman St.-Hastings

Engine and Utility responded total of 15 personal on scene assisting St.55 with a

residential structure fire.  CAFS line from engine stretched and personal assisted with

knockdown and overhaul.

8.January      1612:15620 Bridge St.-Elder Twp.

Tanker, Engine and Utility responded with 14 assisting St.55 with a residential structure

fire. Tanker supplied E551 and personal assisted with knockdown and overhaul.

9.January1912:534211 Crawford Ave.-Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a vehicle pedestrian accident. Cancelled prior to responding.

10.January2010:30813 35th St.-Northern Cambria

Rescue/Engine and Engine responded with a total of 13 to a propane odor inside the

Northern Cambria High School. On scene school was already evacuated. Entire

School was metered with no readings. Cause found to be an open valve in the

Chem Lab. School was ventilated.

11.January 2205:17710 Philadelphia Ave.- Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a flu fire, Cambria advised caller was a passerby and before disconnecting

stated that caller spoke with homeowner and he had just stoked the fire. Utility

responded with 5 and found no conditions.

Assistant 2 assisted motorist with a vehicle lock out

13.January2416:5660 Cherry Tree - Northern Cambria

Rescue/Engine and Utility responded with 13 to a vehicle fire.  On scene engine

compartment fire in a passenger car.  Personal extinguished fire and vehicle was

turned over to PSP.

Utility responded with 5 to assist EMS with patient extrication from a residence.

Utility with 5 responded to assist police with traffic control for a disabled tractor trailer.

Rescue/Engine, Engine and utility responded with 13 for a propane odor inside the

Northern Cambria High School.  School was evacuated, metered and ventilated.

Students were transported to the Middle School and matter turned over to police.

Rescue/Engine responded with 7 to assist EMS with forcible entry and

patient extrication from the residence.

Utility responded with 5 to assist police with traffic control for a vehicle

accident no injuries.

Engine responded with 6 for wires down across the roadway.  On scene wire was removed

Penelec notified.

22.February      911:18202 Susquehanna St.-Northern Cambria

Engine and Utility responded with 13 to a carbon monoxide alarm. On scene had readings

of 24PPM in the area of the furnace. Furnace was shut off, residence was ventilated

and plumber was enroute.

23.February      1307:082986 Shepard Lane Rd-Burnside Twp.

RIC assignment assisting Clearfield St.45 on a flue fire. Rescue/Engine and Utility

responded with 13. Apparatus and personal held in staging.

24.February      1322:09228 Morris St.-Susquehanna Twp.

Utility with 5 assisted EMS with patient extrication from a residence.

25.February      1322:383602 Crawford Ave-Northern Cambria

Rescue/Engine, Engine and Utility responded total of 12 to a flu fire. On scene

extinguished by fire personal. Checked for extension with non found.

26.February     1405:26573 Shawna Rd.-Susquehanna Twp.

Rescue/Engine and Utility responded with 14 to a vehicle on its side. No one around

the vehicle, provided traffic control.

27.February     1412:21714 Mino Dr.-Northern Cambria

Rescue/Engine and Utility responded with 13 to a vehicle into a structure.

On scene vehicle was into porch, no structural damage to the residence.

One patient checked by ems, scene turned over to PSP.

28.February      1416:25228 Morris St.-Susquehanna Twp.

Utility with 5 assisted EMS with patient extrication from a residence.

29.February     1512:121000B Philadelphia Ave.- Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a vehicle accident with injuries. Assistant 2 on scene advising no injuries

both vehicles off the roadway, canceled fire dept.

30.February      1611:35168 Shawna Rd.-Susquehanna Twp.

Utility with 2 assisted EMS with an abdominal pain ptn.

31.February      1715:11812 34th St. - Northern Cambria

Full station responded with a total of 29 personal on scene to a residential structure

fire. Assisted by St.55,58 and 40 with the RIC assignment.  Rescue/engine took the

address and crews had a quick knock of fire that was in basement. Residence was

checked for extension with non-found and ventilated. Fire Marshal called to scene.

Rescue/Engine responded with 8 for a oil spill inside a residence. On scene crack in

oil tank. Leak was stopped and plumbers were on scene removing access oil from tank.

Rescue/Engine and Utility responded with 13 to a flu fire.  On scene fire was

already extinguished by homeowner, no extensions found.

Church fire.  Units on scene staged at hydrants. Later released no fire.

fire out, returned.

Middle School. Police on scene advising child pulled the alarm.

Utility on scene of a flooded roadway, assisted by road crew. Ice removed

from drain, water receded.

Rescue/Engine with a crew of 8 handled stand by assignment for Sta.28

49.March611:55336 Hall St.-Brownstown

While on stand by for Sta.28 dispatched for a smoke in the structure along with

28 chief and Sta.83 that was handling stand by for Sta.23.  On scene crews made

entry to find faulty heat tape.  Power to the heat tape was disconnected and

no extension found.

Dispatched to assist PSP with a traffic control for a one vehicle accident no injury

Rescue/Engine and utility responded with 13 provided traffic control until vehicle was

removed from the roadway.

51.March 1114:58Philadelphia/Crawford-Northern Cambria

Rescue/Engine and Utility with 14 on scene of a 2 vehicle accident with 1 minor

injury. Personal provided traffic control.

52.March1218:4812 Cherry Ridge - Northern Cambria

Engine with crew of 5 assisted EMS on a cardiac arrest

Utility responded with 3 to assist EMS with a cardiac arrest.

Tanker due assisting St.51 with a residential structure fire. Tanker and Utility responded

with total of 7.  While arriving on scene 51C request RIC assignment also.  Rescue/Engine

responded with 9. Crew from utility assisted with ventilation, Crew from Rescue/Engine

handled the RIC assignment and Tanker was held in staging.

55.March1917:19Bigler/37th.-Northern Cambria

Rescue/Engine and Utility responded with 13 to assist police with traffic control

for a disabled vehicle.

56.March2108:43Hickory/Lincoln-Northern Cambria

Dispatched to assist EMS with 2 unconscious males in a vehicle. Assist 1 on scene vehicle

fled.

Utility with 3 responded to children locked in a vehicle.

Full station responded with 21 for a reported structure fire. Units arrived to find smoke showing.

Personal made entry and found grease fire. Fire was extinguished and confined to the

stove. Residence was ventilated. Units also dispatched and canceled enroute from St.55,58

and 40 with the RIC assignment.

Vehicle accident with entrapment. Rescue/Engine, Engine and Utility responded with a

total of 21 personal on scene.  One patient extricated, total of 4 patients. Personal

assisted EMS with ptn care and provided traffic control.

Residential structure fire assisting St.55. Engine and Utility initially due. Rescue/Eninge

then also dispatched for the RIC assignment.  Total of 18 personal on scene. Assisted with

overhaul and RIC assignment. Firefighter Daisley also saved a cat by performing

CPR.

and vehicle was found to be gone on arrival.

all other units.

assisting. All St.50 units responded and found fire out on arrival. Assisting units were cancelled.

Personal performed overhaul and checked for extension with non found.

for the RIC assignment also dispatched.  Rescue/Engine on scene fire out, personal checked for

extension with non-found. All assisting departments were canceled.

Dispatched for the RIC assignment assisting Sta.43 with a residential structure fire.

Units were cancelled enroute by 43OIC.

Dispatched to a residential structure fire, units from 55,58 and 40 for the RIC assignment were also

dispatched. Full company responded, AC2 on scene, no fire canceled all units with exception of

station 50. Upon further investigation cause was found to be arcing from outside power lines.

Penelec notified.

Utility assisted individual that was locked out of their vehicle.

177.December2211:53809 Maple Ave.-Northern Cambria

EMS initially dispatched for breathing problems at the Barnesboro VFW, male patient in the parking lot of the establishment. Upon arrival of EMS they had found the patient was in respiratory arrest and upgraded the call to a cardiac arrest which at this time fire dept. was dispatched to assist. After further investigation of Fire Dept. on scene it was found that there were two cleaning agents mixed unknowing causing a chemical reaction, Engine was moved to the scene for SCBA personal, air monitoring and ventilation. County EMA and Hazmat officers were then contacted and responded to the scene. Entry of two fire dept. SCBA personal into the structure with a 3 gas meter, received zero readings with no visible vapors or active fuming. Water established to all sinks, toilets and urinals for flushing purposes and ventilation was established. Entry was made two more times for internal air monitoring and to removed the trap from the urinal that the products were dumped into. Entry teams received no reading. Establishment was turned back over to owners.

178.December 2300:01238 Mine Rd.-Susquehanna Twp.

Units dispatched for a commercial structure fire, assisted by Stations 22,40,43,51,55,58,59,60,62 (Cambria county) 150, 540 (Indiana County) 29,45,64 (Clearfield County) EMS stations 68,69 and 9.  Building was used for tire recycling and there were approximately 700 to 900 tons of tires in and around the structure. First arriving units found heavy smoke conditions and working fire inside the B/C corner of the structure. First incoming units established a defensive attack due to deteriorating conditions of the structure. Within approximately 10 to 15 minutes of fire departments arrival fire spread quickly to tire piles outside of the structure. IC called for a 2nd alarm 10 minutes into the call and for additional tankers a short time later. Draft site was set up at pond near the structure and tanker shuttle with two dump tanks was established to feed multiple hand lines and Tower 58. Fill site was set up at the bridge near Shawna Rd and Greenwich rd and an additional fill site was first tried to be established at the hydrant at the same location. Hydrant was not operating properly, 2nd fill site was then moved to the hydrant on Shawna Rd. near Moss Creek Rd. Water Authority was notified of the 1st hydrant being out of service. A backhoe from the Susquehanna Twp. road dept. was brought in to remove some of the unburnt tires and also to remove part of the outside wall on the D side of the structure and lines were established to stop any fire extension into the rest of the structure.  County EMA official on scene for air monitoring and DEP called to the scene due to tires involved. Majority of fire was knocked down and fire dept. had excavator respond to the scene due to structural integrity of the B/C side of structure hindering personal to make access for overhaul.
