Activated with station 520 for a vehicle accident with entrapment vehicle on fire. Call downgraded to
vehicle accident with injuries. R504 and U503 responded. On scene found two vehicles off the
roadway one 3 individual’s involved one injury one actor fled the scene on foot. EMS transported
patient to Miners Hospital. Traffic control and cleanup of debris provided.

vehicle on its side. E501 and R504 responded, per 50 assistant 2 E501 to cancel. R504 on scene
found one vehicle on its side no injuries. Provided traffic control. Released by 520 deputy.

injuries. Personnel provided traffic control until vehicles were removed by towing service.

Dispatched for a flu fire. E501 and U503 responded and found flu fire at residence. Foam
extinguisher used for extinguishment of flu in basement and also down chimney. Thermal imaging
cameras used to check for fire extension, none found homeowner advised to get flu cleaned.

Dispatched for a vehicle accident with injuries one vehicle into a wooded area. R504 responded
found accident occurred in Green Twp. Indiana County, vehicle was GOA (gone on arrival) all units
cleared returned available.

Dispatched for a tree down blocking the roadway. R504 responded found 3 trees on the roadway.
Personnel removed trees with no need of chainsaw, all 50 units cleared returned available.

Dispatched R504 due to assist St.59 with a vehicle accident with entrapment. R504 and U503
responded, on scene found 3 vehicles involved 2-passenger vehicles and 1 coal truck, one male
patient entrapped. Doctor on scene pronounced DOA, extrication completed after state police and
coroner on scene. Per 59 Chief all 50 units were released and returned available; St.59 remained on
scene for traffic control.

Dispatched to assist 450 with traffic control for a disabled vehicle. U503 responded provided traffic
control and cleanup of fluids leaking from vehicle, vehicle was removed from roadway all units cleared
the scene available.

S.Main St. – Northern Cambria
Dispatched full company assist with Indiana St.520 for a structure fire. E501 and T502 responded,
cancelled enroute by 520 Chief on scene reporting burnt food on stove, all 50 units returned available.

Dispatched for a vehicle accident one vehicle overturned off the roadway patient transported by
personnel vehicle prior to fire company being activated, no other patients to be on scene. R504
responded on scene found one vehicle on its roof in a small water way. Accident occurred in Indiana
St.520s coverage area, advised Cambria 911 to contact 520 OIC and notify them of the incident no
need for them to respond they can use their discretion; Cambria 911 spoke with 520 Chief stated
they would not be responding St.50 units can go ahead and handle. Personnel checked for any other
patients non-found. Secured scene until PSP arrived, they advised they could handle until towing
company arrived to remove vehicle. All 50 units cleared available.

8th and Reese Ave – Cambria Twp.
Dispatched to assist Colver St.40 with RIC assignment for working residential fire. R504 respond, on
scene 50 assistants one and three did a walk around of structure and briefed RIC crew, RIC crew
staged on side A of structure. Per St. 40 OIC St. 50 released from RIC assignment and moved to
station 40 for stand by.

Municipal Rd. – Susq. Twp.
Dispatched for a flu fire at a residential structure. E501 and U503 responded, on scene owner of
residence and neighbor had placed wet newspapers in the wood burner, fire was out. Traffic control
provided to reroute traffic away from scene. Residence checked with thermal imaging camera with
no extension found. Ladder placed to roof, checked roof area around flu with TIC with nothing found.
All 50 units returned available.
15. February 19 12:56
Peg Run Rd. – Susq. Twp.
Dispatched E501 and T503 due to assist St.520 with a structure fire. E501 and T502 responded,
call upgraded to a working residential fire. Additional dispatch R504 due. On scene fully involved
double wide. Initial attack with 1 ¾” CAFS line, attack was switched to exterior and water
operations due to floor being burned out. E501 supplied 2 - 1 ¾” water lines and R504 supplied 1 – 1
¾” water line. T502 numerous tanker shuttles. Knockdown complete, 1 – 1 ¾” line used with
expansion foam for mop up. St.43 provided one engine stand by in St.50. All units released by 520
OIC.

Dispatched for a vehicle accident unknown injuries vehicle into a creek. R504 responded on scene
found one vehicle into a creek no injuries. Tow truck on scene confirmed with PSP that it was ok for
the vehicle to be towed all 50 units returned available.

R504 reported on scene of a one vehicle accident, vehicle into a wooded area, no injuries, and
vehicle was off the roadway, tow truck enroute. Personnel set flares along Double Dam Rd. Cambria
advised to contact road crew due to extreme road conditions and several accidents. All 50 units
returned available.

Dispatched for a pumping detail. E501 and U503 responded on scene found approximately 4ft of
water in basement of residence. Portable pump used to remove water. All units cleared available.

Dispatched for smoke in structure along with 58, 55 and 40RIC. 50 Chief on scene advising working
fire in furnace room. E501 on scene at the C side of the structure SCBA personnel pulled one 1 ¾”
CAFS line and made entry. R504 laid from hydrant to E501 pulled one 1 ¾” CAFS line for back up.
All 58 and 55 units were staged on the A side of the structure. Knockdown complete fire contained
to furnace room, 40 RIC cancelled. Structure checked with thermal imaging camera for any fire
extension with none found. Overhaul completed all units cleared. Returned available.

520 Chief on scene small fire in bedroom area now out all units can cancel with the exception of

none found. Per 520 Chief all 50 units released returned available.

structure. Structure was checked with T.I.C. with negative results. Found breaker that was being
kicked by an air conditioner. Homeowner was advised of the findings.

extensive search problem was found in a light fixture at top of stairs in a hallway. Power was shut off
to the light fixture homeowners were advised not to stay in residence until checked by an electrician.

area along with St.59 units and Conemaugh Med Star with nothing found. Released by 59 Chief
responded to Greenwich Rd. to investigate a brush fire reported by Med Star. On scene fire was in
District 540 was found to be a controlled burn canceled all units.

was rewiring an outlet with power on causing a spark and breaker to kick. Residence was checked

responded, on scene assisted PD with traffic control and clean up of roadway. Returned available.

Rescue 4 responded, on scene moved to A side for exposue containment with CAFS. Reactivated

scene Dump tank set up, Tanker 2 numerous water shuttles. Personnel assisted with knockdown
and overhaul.

false alarm.

Dispatched for low hanging wires. Engine 1 and Utility 3 responded. On scene found entrance cable
to residential structure low hanging blocking one lane of traffic. Penelec notified set up traffic control,
personnel secured cable temporarily back onto structure.

Main St. – Cherry Tree Boro
Dispatched Rescue 4 and Tanker 2 due for a commercial structure fire at Pallone Insurance assisting
Indiana St.520. Units responded, on scene fire out T.I.C. used to check for any extension with non
found. All 50 units released by 520 OIC.

Park Ave. – Northern Cambria
Dispatched for smoke in a structure. Engine 1 and Rescue 4 responded. On scene all other units
staged per 50 OIC. Upon arrival fire was out source was in the electrical panel, extension checked
with T.I.C with nothing found. Homeowner advised to have electrical service upgraded, power was
turned off when clearing the scene.

Cabbage Rd. – Northern Cambria
Dispatched for a vehicle accident no injuries. Utility 3 responded, on scene accident was found to be
in Barr Twp. Cambria notified to contact 59 OIC make him aware of the incident. Provided traffic
control until vehicle was removed by towing service. Vehicle was then driven away by owner.

Dispatched for one engine nonemergency stand by into St.520. Engine 1 responded, no incidents
handled.

Philadelphia Ave. – Northern Cambria
Dispatched for a commercial fire alarm at Rebekah Manor. Engine 1 responded, on scene alarm
showing heat detector activated in furnace room. Furnace room checked, found circulating pump
shorting and bare wire in heat detector in contact with ground wire. Advised the facility of the findings
they were making contact with alarm company and heating to have problems fixed immediately.

Dispatched for a transformer fire. Engine 1 responded, remained on scene until Penelec arrived.

Dispatched for an outside smoke investigation. Assistant 3 on scene advising controlled burn at
Elias Junkyard all units to cancel.

Crawford Ave. – Northern Cambria
Dispatched for a minor fuel spill at Sheetz. Rescue 4 responded on scene found approximately
10 gallons of gasoline spilled, already contained to parking lot prior to arriving on scene. Personnel
cleaned spill.

Dispatched for a residential fire alarm. Engine 1 responded, on scene false activation. Homeowner
was sanding dry wall dust set off the alarm.
False activation.

Stifflertown Rd. – Burnside Twp.
Dispatched for a structure fire assisting Indiana St.520. Engine 1 and Tanker 2 responded. On
scene, Engine 1 laid 5” into scene and Tanker 2 numerous water shuttles. Personnel made entry
with 1 ¾” line while additional personnel vented roof. Knockdown established, assisted with mop up.

Joseph St. – Northern Cambria
Dispatched for smoke in the structure. 50 Chief on scene all units canceled with exception of Engine
1. Malfunctioning furnace with approximately 1.5ft of water in basement up to furnace motor. Breaker
shut off to furnace. Pumped water down to approximately 3in due to oil on surface. Homeowner
advised to call plumber and find alternate sleeping arraignments for the night.

Cherry St. – Susq. Twp.
Dispatched for a working residential structure fire assisting Cherry Tree. Engine 1, Rescue 4 and
Tanker 2 responded. Engine 1 first on scene reported fully involved structure, defensive attack
established, full structure collapse approximately 5 to 10 min. after arriving on scene. Exposures
covered with foam. Numerous tanker shuttles provided. Assisted by Spangler and tankers from
Nicktown, Patton, Burnside, Commodore, and Glen Campbell. Temperature at the time was –4 F
with a –24 F wind-chill. This was Cherry Tree Fire Chief Ben Wilshire's home.

Dispatched one engine non-emergency standby by into Indiana St.520. Engine 1 responded with no
incidents handled.

Bigler Ave. – Northern Cambria
Dispatched for a working commercial structure fire assisting St. 58. Engine 1, Rescue 4 and Utility 3
responded. Crews on scene found a smal fire in the rear of the building that was quickly
extinguished. On scene all 50 units and personnel held in staging per 58 chief and later released.

Laurel St. - Northern Cambria
Dispatched for smoke in a structure. Stations 58, 55 and 40 (RIC assignment) dispatched to assist.
On scene strong odor of smoke and signs of heat present. Personnel from Engine 1 made entry with
one 1 ¾” CAFS line. 58 laid from hydrant to 501, 55 staged in case another hydrant was needed, 40
RIC was staged on A side of structure. Quick knock, fire contained to bedroom. Overhaul complete
residence was checked with T.I.C. with no fire extension found. All units released.
