1. January 115:47Hazlet Church Rd. – Montgomery Twp. 

Dispatched Engine and Tanker due for a working residential structure fire assisting Indiana St. 520. 

Engine 1, Tanker 2 and Utility 3 responded.  On scene personnel from 520 already had the knock. 

Personnel assisted with T.I.C. to check for fire extension with none found and also mop up.  All 50

units released by 520 OIC.  Returned available.

2. January 118:394025 Crawford Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a MVA with injuries.  Rescue 4 responded and canceled enroute by 50 OIC on scene

advising 2 vehicles in parking lot, no injuries.  Returned available.

3. January 6 23:15St. Stan’s and 39th St. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for low hanging wires across the roadway.  Engine 1 responded.  On scene cable and

telephone lines hanging across the roadway.  Pulled lines up and tied off to pole.  Cambria to notify

Verizon and Comcast.  Returned available.

4. January 11      15:102108 Bigler Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched Engine 1 due for a residential structure fire assisting St.58.  Engine 1 responded and

canceled enroute by 58 OIC.  Returned available.

5. January 15      08:01Beaver St. – Elder Twp.

Dispatched Tanker due for a working residential structure fire assisting St. 62.  Tanker 2 and Utility 3

responded.  On scene personnel assisted with extinguishments and overhaul, Tanker 2 supplied

Engine 621. All 50 units released by 62 OIC.  Returned available.

6.  January 17     09:05Barr and David St. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for wires down.  Per 450 penelec was already notified earlier that morning, 50 Assistant

direct, on scene advising same line all 50 units can cancel.

7.  January 17             20:131702 Park Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a residential CO alarm.  Engine 1 responded, on scene no patients, SCBA personnel

metered the residence with no readings, determined to be a dead battery.  All 50 units returned

available.

8.  January 20     04:59403 Madera Ave. – Northern Cambria 

Dispatched residential flu fire.  Engine 1 responded.  On scene fire out.  Personnel checked for fire

extension with none found.  Returned available.

9. January 22      08:58447 Shawna Rd. – Susquehanna Twp.

Dispatched for smoke in a structure at the Freedom Chrysler Dodge building.  Assisting were

companies from Stations 58,55,62,40 (RIC assignment) and Indiana 520.  Rescue 4 responded, on

scene reporting heavy smoke showing, working fire in the basement.  Personnel made entry with a 1

¾” CAFS line made the attack with a quick knock.  E-582 laid into scene from hydrant on Mosscreek

Rd. to supply Rescue 4 if needed. E-521 staged at hydrant on route 219 to supply S-583 if needed,

S-583 staged on B-side of the structure. E-552 staged on A-side of structure, personnel from E-552

made entry into second floor for ventilation and to check for any fire extension.  T-627 staged on the

A/D side of the structure.   Overhaul completed, all units released with the exception of Rescue 4. 

Rescue 4 remained on scene available to assist PSP fire marshal.  Cause was ruled undetermined. 

Returned available.

10. February 1    19:11Theater Rd. – West Carroll Twp. 

Dispatched Tanker 2 due assisting St.58 with a working structure fire.  Tanker 2 and Utility 3

responded.  Utility 3 returned available, SERVICES NOT NEEDED.  Tanker 2 remained on scene,

supplied E 582 with 3000 gallons of water.  Tanker 2 released by 58 OIC.

11. February 8    20:33115 Double Dam Rd. – Susquehanna Twp.

Dispatched for MVA with injuries.  Rescue 4 responded.  On scene, one vehicle off the roadway, on

its side.  One patient with EMS upon arrival.  Per PSP all units released. Returned Available

12. February 12  19:34Cherry Tree Fire Station

Engine Transfer.  Engine 1 responded with no incidents handled.  Returned available.

13.  February 16 21:45 4025 Crawford Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a fuel spill at sheetz, called in by 450.  Rescue 4 responded, on scene approximately

20 gallons of gasoline spilled.  Spill contained to parking lot.  Personnel cleaned spill.  Returned

available.

14.  February 18 09:191009 39th St. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a structure fire assisted by stations 58, 55 and 40 (RIC assignment).  Rescue 4 and

Engine 1 responded, enroute call upgraded to a working structure fire.  Rescue 4 on scene reporting

heavy fire conditions on the first floor.  Crew from Rescue 4 knocked down first floor with 1 ¾”  CAFS

line from exterior and made entry for fire attack on second floor.  Additional personnel covered

exposure on B side of structure with 1 ¾” CAFS line.  Interior crew completed knockdown.  Crews

from 55 and 58 assisted with overhaul operations and ventilation.  E-582 laid to supply Rescue 4.

15.  February 2419:172005 Philadelphia Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for MVA no injuries.  Rescue 4 and Utility 3 responded.  On scene, one vehicle driving

north bound hit a parked car.  Provided traffic control and cleanup of debris and fluids from the

roadway.  PSP on scene.  Returned available.

16.  February 2803:15130 Double Dam Rd. – Susquehanna Twp.

Dispatched for MVA with injuries.  Rescue 4 and Utility 3 responded.  On scene one patient. 

Assisted EMS with patient extrication.  Provided traffic control and cleanup of debris and fluids from

roadway.  PSP on scene, both vehicles towed all units returned available.

17.  March      716:18Cherry Tree Fire Station                 

Dispatched for engine transfer into Indiana St. 520.  Rescue 4 responded and moved to scene of

brush fire on Beaver Run Rd.  On scene personnel assisted with extinguishment.

18.  March      716:40Beaver Run – Burnside Twp.

Dispatched Utility 3 due for manpower assist assisting St.520 on s brush fire.  On scene personnel

assisted with extinguishment.

19.  March      922:35Cemetery Ln. – Susquehanna Twp.                 

Dispatched for a working residential structure fire.  Assisted by Station 55, 58,and 40 (RIC

assignment).  All 50 units responded. On scene two story vacant structure, unattached shed, and

pick up truck fully involved.  Engines and tankers unable to make it to scene due to access road. 

Stations 520 and 59 requested for brush trucks.  All 55,58 and 40 units cancelled.  Brush trucks on

scene, fire extinguished Engine 1 staged at hydrant on Municipal and Hillcrest to assist with tank fill

of brush trucks. Returned available.

20. March        13    12:01Magnolia St. – Northern Cambria                 

Activated for a commercial fire alarm at Tri County Transportation Building. Engine 1 responded, on

scene found to be burnt food.  All units returned available.

21. March       20     09:342005 Philadelphia Ave. – Northern Cambria                 

Activated for a animal rescue.  On scene found a German Shepherd with its head caught in the

spokes of a wheelchair.  One spoke was cut out extrication complete with no injuries to the canine. 

Station 50 available.

22. March2312:50Cherry Tree

Activated Engine transfer into Indiana St.520.  Engine 1 responded and moved to scene of brush fire

assisting Clearfield St.45.

23. March2313:16North Camp Rd. – Chest Twp., Clearfield County

Activated to assist Clearfield St.45 with manpower for a brush fire.  Utility 3 responded, on scene

assisted with extinguishment of a 40 to 50 acre brush fire. 

24. March2715:16Double Dam Rd – Susq. Twp

Dispatched wires down.  Engine 1 responded, on scene found to be phone wires.  Removed from

roadway, notified Cambria of pole number.

Activated for a vehicle accident with injuries.  Rescue 4 and Utility 3 responded.  On scene 2 vehicles

on the roadway one patient transported by EMS.  PSP on scene.  Provided traffic control until

vehicles were removed by towing service.

Assist EMS with patient extrication of residence. Utility 3 responded and assisted with extrication.

Dispatched for tree down blocking the roadway.  Engine 1 responded and removed tree from roadway.

28. April    416:31School Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for transformer fire.  Engine 1 responded.  Power outage throughout town, personnel

provided traffic control at each intersection.  Penelec on scene, power back on.

29. April    913:06McCombie Ave. – Northern Cambria

Activated for a brush fire.  Engine 1 and Utility 3 responded. On scene approximately one acre of field

on fire caused by a downed power line arcing.  Fire knocked down, Penelec on scene all 50 units

cleared.

30. April   1420:05211 4th Ave. - Hastings

Assist Hastings Fire Co. with CO meter.  U503 responded with CO meter to double check their

readings.  4 people were transported to Miners ER with symptoms.  0 CO readings on both meters.

Dispatched for manpower assist, assisting Indiana St. 520 with a brush fire.  Utility 3 responded, on

scene personnel assisted with extinguishment.

Moved from stand by duties to a possible structure fire in the area of Northern Cambria /

Susquehanna Twp. Line.  Police on scene advising controlled burn on Sycamore St. requesting fire

department proceed in for extingishment.  On scene fire extinguished.  All 50 units cleared.

Activated to assist EMS on scene with a forcible entry into a residential structure.  Entry gained units

remained on scene available to secure the area until PSP arrived.

Dispatched for manpower assist, assisting Indiana St. 520 with a brush fire.  Engine 1 and Utility 3

responded, on scene pulled 500ft. of 1 ¾” line for fire extinguishments.

Dispatched for a tree down blocking the roadway.  Personnel on scene with PV’s removed the tree

from the roadway.

Dispatched for Tanker and manpower assist, assisting Indiana St. 520 with a brush fire.   Tanker 2, 

Engine 1 and Utility 3 responded.  Engine 1 to fill site, Tanker 2 to the scene for water supply and

Utility 3 to scene to assist with extinguishment.

Dispatched for tanker and manpower assist, assisting Indiana St. 520 with a brush fire.  Engine 1,

Tanker 2 and Utility 3 responded, on scene Tanker 2 supplied water to various hand lines, Engine 1

set up a fill site and manpower assisted with extinguishment.

Dispatched for MVA with injuries.  Engine 1 and Utility 3 responded, on scene no injuries one vehicle

into the guard rails.  Provided traffic control.

3 responded, on scene removed glass from parking area.

fire.  Personnel disconnected wires, fire out.

patient.

patient transported by EMS, personnel provided traffic control until PSP arrived.

Dispatched for a chlorine alarm at the Northern Cambria Water Treatment Plant.  Rescue 4 responded.

On Scene one SCBA personnel along with water employee with SCBA made entry to shut off 2 – 150lb

chlorine tanks.  Waited approximately 30min. with ventilation performed, 2 – SCBA personnel made

entry to check for leaks in tanks with ammonia, nothing found.  System and tanks turned back on, fire

personnel waited approximately 30min. alarm did not reactivate, advised water employees if alarm went

off again to notify 911 immediately.

Lockout from a residence.  Assistant 3 gained access into residence for the homeowner.

Dispatched for a chlorine alarm, Rescue 4 responded.  On scene water authority had tanks turned off

prior to arrival.  Ventilation complete, 2-SCBA personnel turned tanks back on and found leak, tanks

were shut off and water authority advised not to turn system back on until leak was fixed.

Dispatched to assist 450 with traffic control due to power outage, power was restored and all 50 units

were cancelled.

Dispatched for a commercial fire alarm at The City Hotel Bar and Grill, 50 Chief on scene all units to

cancel alarm was being activated due to steam from a shower.

Dispatched to assist Indiana St.520 with a search detail, Engine 1 responded, on scene individual was

located while personnel were in briefing.

Dispatched for a stove fire, Engine 1 and Rescue 4 on scene all other units to hold in station, fire out. 

Personnel checked for fire extension with non found, ventilation and overhaul performed.

Electrical odor Giant Eagle 50 Chief and 2nd assistant responded, on scene found malfunctioning ATM

machine, power shut off.

Dispatched for a vehicle fire endangering a structure, 50 assistant 3 on scene reporting working engine

compartment fire all units to hold in station with the exception of Rescue 4.  Rescue 4 on scene with

the knock.

Dispatched for a flu fire, Rescue 4 and Utility 3 responded, on scene fire out, checked for fire extension

with non found.

123. December1715:462310 Railroad Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a residential CO alarm, Rescue 4 responded, on scene SCBA personnel checked

residence with 3 gas meter with no readings.  Found to be a faulty battery in detector.

124. December1811:30Philadelphia Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a MVA with injuries.  Rescue 4 responded, on scene personnel assisted EMS with

patient care, provided traffic control and cleanup of fluids from the roadway.

125. December1812:27Gardner Run Rd. – Susq. Twp.

Dispatched for a water line break.  Engine 1 responded on scene break was before shut off water

company notified to turn water off to residence.

126. December1902:31Lion Rd. – Susq. Twp.

Dispatched for wires down, assistant 3 responded held all units in station.  On scene found utility pole

sheered, advised Cambria to contact Verizon pole and wires were off the roadway all 50 units cleared.

127. December1906:27412 Juniper St. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for smoke in a structure, assistant 2 on scene advising working electrical fire in basement

spreading to floor joists.  Rescue 4 on scene with a quick knock.  Personnel performed ventilation,

salvage and overhaul and checked for fire extension with non found.

128. December2520:241008 Maple Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a commercial fire alarm at Dr.Petrunyak’s office, Rescue 4 responded, on scene found

faulty battery in detector.

129. December2615:432510 Philadelphia Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched for a electrical odor inside a residential structure.  Rescue 4 and Engine 1  responded,

Rescue 4 to the scene, Engine 1 staged at hydrant.  Strong odor of electrical wiring burning, no visible

fire or smoke, structure checked with T.I.C. problem found to be in the hot water tank, all power shut off

to tank owner advised to contact plumber.

Dispatched for a commercial fire alarm at The City Hotel Bar and Grill, 50 Chief on scene advising all

units to hold in station, all units cancelled alarm set off by steam from shower.

131. December28`21231219 Philadelphia Ave. – Northern Cambria

Dispatched to assist EMS with AED and extrication for 2 cardiac arrest patients at the same

residence.  AED was used and administered several defibrillations to one patient, both patient survived.
